Cymbidium Rocky Road 'Gotcha'
Cymbidium Rocky Road 'Gotcha' is a heavy patterned form I've only flowered once, and this is the only division I'm letting go. Rocky Road already tends to throw bold spotting, but this clone pushes it further-broad petals washed in pink with dense speckling and a deep, almost black lip sitting in the centre. It's one of those flowers that looks painted rather than grown.
Care
- Light: Bright filtered light; some morning sun is fine.
- Water: Keep evenly moist during growth; allow a slight dry-down in winter.
- Temperature: Cool to intermediate.
- Media: Free-draining Cymbidium bark mix.
- Feeding: Fertilise regularly in spring and summer; ease off as temperatures drop.
Key Characteristics
- Grex: Cymbidium Rocky Road
- Clone: 'Gotcha'
- Colour: Pink petals with heavy speckling and a deep burgundy to black lip.
- Flower size: Broad, full form typical of the Rocky Road line.
- Spike habit: Upright to slightly arching under weight of the blooms.
- Rarity: Single plant release - no others available.
- Notes: Selected for pattern density and the strong lip contrast.
